We had a fabulous trip to Branson, MO -- family reunion. We swam every day, rode the Ducks, went mini-golfing, played cards, ate well, and even had a 'kids' night out' and saw the movie SALT. Addie and Eli were great!! I'm having a little trouble uploading pics today, but when I figure it out, I'll post some :)

We celebrated my nana's life today. It was amazing service.
My nana had TONS of reading glasses-- the boys and Addie are sporting some above :)
The morning of the reviewal, I had the following conversation with Addie--
"Mama, Great Nana and Papa are in heaven together now!"
"You are right, Addie! Do you think they're hanging out together?"
"Yes!"
"What do you think they are doing in heaven?"
"Playing games."
"What game do you think they're playing in heaven?
"Wack-a-mole!" :) I can only imagine!!

AS OF LATELY...
-Eli crawls! It's taken him awhile to get the hang of it, but now he's crawling all over the place :) He's enjoying the fact that he can get around and explore.
-Brandt has had a pretty easy week at work so far this week-- working 'remotely' (aka spending more time with us)!!
-Addie is our picky eater (my fault), but lately we've been enforcing or threatening consequences if she doesn't try what's on her plate at dinner. The first few nights we had major temper tantrums, but I think we've made a break-through... she ate taco salad last night with no complaints! This is a BIG deal, folks :) She even announced while eating, "Look, Dad! I eat taco salad like you guys!" Followed by, "Mom, you make good things!" :)
-I went bridesmaid dress shopping with Tricia last weekend-- such fun! Looking forward to the wedding next May!
-Eli was dedicated at church last Sunday. The service was nice and we had a good afternoon with family.
-Finally, B and I, along with lifelong friends, Natalie and Allen, leave for Vegas in 9 days! I couldn't be more excited!! A time for sun, pool, cards, eating out, shows, relaxing, and sleeping through the night!!

We spent four days at Trout Lake Camp this last weekend. It was good-- different without Dale there-- but good to be with family. Brandt ran a 10K and I ran a 5K on Saturday in the Nisswa Firecracker race. Then we got to watch Addie run a 1/4 mile race. It was the funniest thing I've ever witnessed :) She put her heart and soul into running and came in 3rd to last! Hilarious!! We spent the rest of the weekend boating, swimming, eating, mini golfing, basballing ;) and just being together. Kids were great- slept well since we wore them out every day. Nice to be home in the air condition again :) I do feel like I need a vacation from our mini vacation. I suppose parents always feel that way...

Addie had a few 'firsts' this last week. She took her first dance class, went to her first movie, and rode her first horse.
Dance is going well. She is in a 3-5 year old ballet and tap class. She definitely loves it more than any of the other girls. But yes, she is "the one" that isn't copying the teacher's moves or standing on her spot ;) Hilarious! But she talks about dance night and day and counts down the days til her next class.
Brandt and I took her to see TOY STORY 3 on Saturday. Great movie, by the way. And yes, I did shed some tears at the end. She did well-- it got a little long and she got a little antsy, but overall, a fun experience!
Finally, tonight we went to a small carnival at Lynn's church with a petting zoo and pony rides! She loved it :)
Looking ahead to a great week-- two dinner dates with friends, a night out with some girl friends, Twins game on Wednesday, and leaving for Trout Lake Camp on Friday!!

Have a night by myself here, so I thought I'd update with a little bit about each of my kiddos.
-Eli is still a joy! Laughs all the time. Not crawling, but scoots backwards everywhere. Eats anything and everything and definitely prefers table food over baby food. Loves his daddy. Well-mannered, except when teething (which is NOW) :)
-Addie is a sweetheart, unless she doesn't get her way ;) She's testing the waters with me!! She adores her brother and her dad and is ALWAYS good to them.
Has very vivid dreams at night-- like this morning she woke up and told me she wanted to show me something. She wanted to show me how she could stand on a bouncy ball and balance/walk around the room, like in a circus. Of course she couldn't do it, so then she got upset because- "But Mama! I did it in the middle of the night!"
She is back to napping and does it almost every day. It's because it's her choice now. I ask her what she wants to do for quiet time, and she always chooses to take a nap.
In bed at night, Addie must be laying there thinking about things that she did during the day. I almost always get a 'deep thought' question from her before she falls asleep. Tonight's was- "What happens if I swallow a little bit of toothpaste? Where does it go? Does it go in my tummy and out my butt like food? Is it ok to swallow?" :) Ahhh- the mind of a 3-year-old :)
Our friend Adam's dad passed away this week at a young age as well-- we talked about it and Addie said, "Adam's dad is with Papa in heaven! Maybe they're friends! I can't wait to see them some day when I die and go to heaven." Then she quickly added, "But not yet, Mom." :) We have a very 'with it' young girl on our hands!
Finally, Lynn and Tricia found two caterpillars for Addie so we've been watching them at our house. They are named Katie and Bob. Bob turned into chrysalis today and we witnessed him shedding his skin and becoming this amazing green blob!! It was the coolest thing I've ever seen! Now Addie constantly checks to see if Katie is still a caterpillar :)
