Our baby girl is really sick. She's been battling a cold for a week now, but the last few days it has been in her chest. I took her in last night, and after listening to her lungs, they decided to run a nebulizer treatment. This was the worst! I don't know if it was worse for Addie or for me! I had to hold her tight in my arms and hold that mask on her while she breathed in and out for 7 minutes! She screamed the whole time!! AHHH! But he listened to her lungs after the treatment, said they sounded much better, and sent us home with our very own Nebulizer to be done 4 times a day. I was dreading it last night, but Addie didn't even shed one tear. Whether it was the fact that it felt good to her to breathe in, the fact that we were at home and not in a small white room, or the fact that Elmo was on TV during the treatment... I was just thankful! She did well with it this morning too. Last night was rough- I 'got' to hold her all night. She'd sleep for 20 minutes, cry for 20, sleep, cry... I just felt so bad for her. It was a long night. So, keep us in your prayers. I took the rest of the week off of school, so I can stay home with her. I wish I could take it all away...

Welcome to the world of nebbing! Ian & Alex started with nebs every 4 hours at 6 months. Hopefully this is short lived, but we found they hated the mask so Dr. said we could just hold mouth piece (not mask) in front of their mouth and nose...eventually they held it in their mouths themselves and just breathed it in. The mask scares babies, I think. We are definitely praying for you all...stressful. Thanks for great medical care!

It's actually pretty cute with Addie. Our routine with the nebulizer is to turn on the Elmo Christmas Special and the mask (that has eyes and gills to look like a fish) doesn't bother her. She doesn't seem to mind it at all.

She's starting to sound better, so thanks for your prayers. Keep it goin!
