Summer!

Loving summer!!  Some days are long with everyone home... and yes, there is lots of fighting some days... but overall, the kids are really enjoying playing with each other.  We try to do some adventures :)  Enjoying the days outside.  Love this crew.

Happy 10th birthday, Addie!

This girl is amazing.  I can't believe she is 10!  I still remember the day she was born :)
I admire this girl for who she is.  She loves life and lives life to the fullest every single day.  Her joy is contagious.  She loves others well and is well-loved by others.  I am excited to see what God does with her this year.  Love being her mom.  Blessed by her every day.  Happy day, sweet girl!

Oliver is 3!

This boy is growing up too fast!  What a sweet, gentle-spirited, little man.  We just adore him.

tradition!

Three winters in a row!  I will make these kiddos smile for the "sled picture" every year until they are old and gray :)  It's tradition!!  Thank goodness for the little bit of snow we got this morning because I had yet to capture the sled pic for this year.  Yikes!  Got it just in time :)  Thanks kids for being so willing to say "cheese!"  ;)

We had an amazing vacation.  So fun to be a part of such a special day for Jeff and Jac.  So blessed to call her family.  The kids were great.  Nothing was normal-- late dinners, late bedtimes, naps in cars, restaurants they didn't love, etc.   But they rolled with everything.  They were incredible.  We made some great memories.  Kids favorite two things... dancing at the wedding and Knott's Berry Farm amusement park.  Oliver's favorite was running from waves at the ocean.  Loved our time.  Thankful for family.

Our Izzy is 5 tomorrow!!  Yay!!!  What an amazing girl.  Izzy is the sweetest and spunkiest girl I know.  She cares deeply for people.  She's always quick to bring one of her siblings something to cheer them up when they are sad.  She puts others first- always.  Her smile can light up a room.  She gets so excited about the little things.  She's crazy social... wants to be around friends constantly.  She keeps me on my toes, being #3 in the line-up.  But I love her to pieces.  Happy Birthday, Izzy Mae!

Trout Lake family camp 2016

 We had a fantastic week at Family Camp!  Lots of family time.  Some adult time.  Lots of friend time. 

We came home dirty and exhausted!  But memories were made.

Eli turns 7!

Celebrated Eli's bday with family a bit early tonight.  He turns 7 on Saturday.  What an incredible kid.  Tender-hearted, sensitive, sweet, and yet also all-boy... tough, strong, extremely athletic.  He has stolen my heart from day one and my love for him continues to grow.  So thankful for him.  So thankful for what he brings to our family.  So thankful to be able to walk through life beside him.  Looking forward to seeing him thrive in 1st grade this year!!  Love you Elias James.

summer :)

 Summer is flying!!  We have done some fun mini-trips!  We spent a weekend in July up at Trout Lake Camp with Lynn and Aaron and Jess.  Yes, that's Oliver in his life jacket.  He wore it everywhere :)

 The kids' favorite part of the summer (so far) was our trip to Anderson, Indiana to visit Uncle Phil and Auntie Kylee.  We crashed their house for three nights.  We relaxed, did crafts, swam at a nearby pool, visited a park, went to Phil's work, ate delicious donuts, and went to the Children's Museum.  Such fun!

Memories were made!  Fun was had!  We will do it again :)

My baby is 2.

Our sweet Oliver Dale... How can our baby be two years old already??  He is the sweetest most precious gift from God.  I have loved every second of the last two years with this boy. 
Favorite color- green (he calls everything green!)
Favorite song- "Deep and Wide"
Favorite foods- hot dog, raspberries, and marshmallows...
Favorite show- "Mother Goose Club" (we all know every song in the show by heart!)
-loves being outside, rain, snow, or shine!
-loves balls, cars, and books with sounds
-adores his brother and sisters
-can count the times on one hand where we've had to discipline... he's VERY well-behaved!
-has many words; starting to form sentences
-has been feeding himself with spoons/forks/big person glass for a very long time
-loves Play-doh and bubbles
-loves to wrestle Eli
-loves to sing along with songs before nap or bedtime
-EXTREMELY easy-going (and always has been!)
-loves giving hugs and kisses
-can say, "I love you" (which melts my heart)

Happy 2nd birthday, buddy!  We love you more than words can say.
